The Tilt-in-Space ID Soft Adjustable Wheelchair can be tilted and reclined into various positions to assist with pressure distribution and to correct posture whilst maintaining the users maximum comfort. The wheelchair is available with three wheel sizes - transit, mid wheel or self-propel.
The ID Soft Adjustable wheelchair is ideal for care home use, allowing carers to use the tilt in space function to help redistribute pressure and ensure the user is comfortable while maintaining the correct posture in any of the tilt or recline positions. This ensures any user who may be spending a long time seated in a wheelchair remains comfortable at all times, whilst also saving carers time by providing repositioning without added transfers.
There are a number of adjustable components on the ID Soft Wheelchair including
- Padded adjustable headrest with multi-positional ear cushions.
- Infinite position adjustment of the backrest and seat angle which can be easily operated from the push handle and can be quickly adjusted
- Backrest reclines from 90° to 120°
- Adjustable height backrest and two choices of cushion height
- Elevating and adjustable leg rests, with adjustable calf cushion
- Long, curved adjustable, padded armrests that can be detached if required
- Height adjustable push handles to provide comfort for the attendant
- Infinite position adjustment of the backrest and seat
The sturdy steel frame, provides a secure base for the multiple positions this chair can provide in any of the backrest or seat angle settings. The addition of anti-tip wheels and integral stepper tube to assist with kerbs also ensures this wheelchair remains safe both indoors and outside.
The Self Propel model is available with 24 inch wheels to allow the user to propel themselves or the transit model is available with 12 inch wheels if the user will be pushed by a carer or family member
The ID Soft Adjustable Wheelchair has also been crash tested providing added safety when being transported in a vehicle
