The cut out void facilitates quick immersion and prevents sliding forward to maintain tissue integrity caused by shear and friction forces by tilting the pelvis into the chair giving a better upright posture. This cushion is non reversible due to the contoured shape and is supplied with a vapour-permeable cover.
The Fern is suitable for wheelchair users and has a 25 stone (160 kg) weight guide.
